Afterschool Staff

Job Description: 

SMAII seeks reliable, caring, and afterschool staff for our Extended Care Program. Extended Care staff members work in various classrooms from infant through our primary age (3-6) or before and after school age kids. The afterschool staff typically works from 3:00-5:30 pm Monday through Friday, actively supervising children during snack and free play time. Applicants must enjoy working with young school-age children.

Extended Care is from 3:00 pm- 5:30 pm on school days, and options for additional hours when public school is out. We do offer hours before 3:00 pm if students have work study and want to add extra hours to their schedule.  We do not provide care on days school is not in session. (Holidays, breaks, snow days).

Staff members are typically scheduled for 15 hours per week.

Requirements:

This position is a good fit for high school and college students or adults seeking a part-time position with consistent short hours who enjoy working with children.

Note: All employees are required to consent to a background check, and complete CPR or First Aid training if they are currently not trained or certified in that area.

Hourly rate: $13-$15.00 per hour
